The Global Risk Report 2026 shows bleak and alarming perceived risks for the year 2026 and beyond. Based on the Global Risks Perception Survey, the Report shows that 50% of leaders and experts surveyed anticipate either a turbulent or stormy outlook over the next two years, growing to 57% over the next 10 years with only 1% anticipating a calm outlook. On the top of these risks in 2026 are geoeconomics confrontation, state-based armed conflict, extreme wealth events, social polarization, misinformation and disinformation.
