The dissemination of state-of-the-art knowledge and research findings across disciplines occupies the heart of journal production. Ubuntu: Journal of Conflict and Social Transformation remains committed to this ideal. This is in view of the richness of the articles published in successive editions of the journal that treat important and at times issues that require urgent intellectual intervention. The changing nature and character of conflicts and their resolution requires the perusal of vast array of issues and topics, including those that fall outside of the traditional realm of conflict. This is with a view to finding wholistic approach to social transformation which is the logical conclusion of conflict and conflict resolution.
This edition of Ubuntu covers wide range of issues that speak to the focus of the journal. A key value of the edition is the multidisciplinary nature of the contributions. Contributions from scholars from diverse backgrounds speak to the viability of the edition and its contribution to reliable knowledge. The publication process of the edition has also been ensured to be top-notch with the painstaking review of each of the articles submitted for publication. I am as a result using this medium to commend the dutifulness of our reviewers. It is of also of note that the authors of selected articles responded qualitatively to the concerns of reviewers. This speaks to the necessary synergy in the publication of quality academic journals.
I believe this edition will serve to address research gaps in the various fields from which articles have been contributed. I also believe this edition has served to advance the relevance of Ubuntu in the areas of conflict, conflict resolution and social transformation. I therefore appreciate everyone that contribute to the production of the Edition.
