A: Happy New Year: Work Resumes Again

The Office re-opened today, January 8, 2023. We vacated for the Christmas holidays on December 15 2023. We wish all our editors, members of editorial boards,  authors and friends a Happy New Year. We re-dedicate ourselves to contributing to Africa’s knowledge base through vigorous  knowledge production and dissemination.

B: Web of Science Accepts us as a partner for its Book Citation Index (BCI)

To qualify to submit titles for evaluation in Web of Science’s Book Citation Index (BCI), a publishing company has to first be evaluated for eligibility, and if the company passes the eligibility test, it is then accepted as a partner which qualifies it to submit titles for evaluation for inclusion in the BCI. We are happy to announce that we have passed the evaluation test and will now, as a partner, start submitting titles for evaluation in the Web of Science’s BCI

C: Two more journals accepted for inclusion by SCOPUS, several of our journals in second stage evaluation by WoS

Late last month SCOPUS informed us that they have accepted additional two of our titles for indexing. These are Journal of African Languages and Literary Studies   and African Journal of Religion, Philosophy and Culture. With these we will have seven journals indexed by SCOPUS. Many of our journals have also advanced to the second stage of evaluation (quality check) by Web of Science.

We congratulate the editors, members of the editorial boards, contributors to these journals, SABINET, (which distributes our digital contents), our staff and others who contributed in making this happen.
