Call For Paper - Journal of African Union Studies (JoAUS)

The JOURNAL OF AFRICAN UNION STUDIES is calling for papers for Volume 7, No. 3, 2018. The journal is published tri-annually and listed in the EBSCO, J-Gate, ProQuest, Sabinet database and accredited by IBSS.

The Journal of African Union Studies was set up to engage in critical and rigorous scholarly inquiry about the African Union and its endeavours. Among the goals that the AU set out for itself are: Unity and solidarity between African countries and African people, the promotion of peace, security and stability on the continent, the promotion of popular participation and good governance and the establishment of conditions that will enable the continent to play its rightful role in global affairs. The Journal of African Union Studies invites contributions on themes related to the African Union, including the following:

•             Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance

•             Goals and Priorities for African Economic Growth

•             The Role of African Regional Organizations in African Unity

•             AU, African Regional Organizations and Empowerment of Women

•             AU, African Regional Organizations and Disability Rights

•             The AU and LGBT Rights

•             The role of Pan-African Parliament

•             Regional Organizations and Food Security

•             The Roles and Achievement of African Regional Organization in Peace and Security

•             Critical appraisal of ‘African Solutions to African Problems’

•             The relations of AU / African Regional Organizations with major global powers and                         blocks (US, EU, China, Russia among others)

•             The AU’s Agenda 2063

•             Migration and Refugee issues

•             Xenophobia in Africa

Authors may submit original contributions on any of the above-mentioned themes. Papers submitted should not have been previously published or be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Original contributions, which will be subjected to double blind peer review, should strictly comply with the Journal’s Guidelines for Authors (below) and should be submitted to the Editor: Khondlo Mtshali by the deadline of 30 September 2018 via info@adonis-abbey.com
